Premium wooden windows by BARTYN: protection, function and value retention
BARTYN manufactures project-specific, FSC®-certified wood and wood-aluminium windows for sophisticated architectural demands. We exclusively process selected quality timbers such as pine, spruce, larch, oak, meranti and Eucalyptus grandis – further speciality timbers such as Accoya are available on request. Our made-to-measure products combine state-of-the-art burglary protection, sound insulation at the highest level and uncompromising energy efficiency.

Burglary protection according to DIN EN 1627: mechanical security RC
Windows and French windows are among the primary targets in break-in attempts. At BARTYN, effective
protection results from the mechanical unity of solid wood profiles, state-of-the-art hardware technology and resistant glazing.
Depending on your individual security needs, we plan and manufacture your wooden windows with tailor-made
security components:
While class RC2/RC2N is generally recommended for private residential ground floors, BARTYN realises solutions up to class RC3 for buildings with increased security requirements.
Sound insulation: maximum quiet from class 1 to class 6 (DIN 4109)
Effective sound insulation protects health and increases living comfort in urban areas, on main roads or in the vicinity of airports. BARTYN covers the entire technical spectrum and manufactures sound insulation windows in all sound insulation classes (SSK 1 to SSK 6) according to DIN 4109.
This extreme sound reduction is achieved through the precise use of asymmetrical pane thicknesses, optimised cavities between the panes (SZR) with noble gas filling, special laminated sound insulation films and multi-level sealing planes in the solid wood frame.
Thermal insulation and energy efficiency: GEG-compliant and passive house standard
Modern wooden windows by BARTYN are a central building block for the thermal quality of the building envelope.
They minimise transmission heat losses and sustainably reduce heating costs.
When windows are replaced in existing buildings, the current German Building Energy Act (GEG) requires a maximum thermal transmittance of Uw ≤ 1.3 W/(m²K). BARTYN wooden windows with modern triple thermal glazing remain significantly below these legal requirements. Through thermally optimised profiles and highly efficient spacers (“warm edge”), we achieve top values that easily meet the strict criteria for the passive house standard (Uw ≤ 0.8 W/(m²K)).
Durability through material quality and constructive protection
The natural durability of our windows is based on the careful selection of wood species (pine, spruce, larch, oak, meranti, Eucalyptus grandis, Accoya) and the perfect interplay of constructive wood protection and environmentally friendly, multi-layer coating systems. They protect the material in depth against moisture and UV radiation while preserving the natural material’s ability to diffuse.
Value retention and care
High-quality building components retain their function and aesthetics for decades. Retaining the value of your BARTYN
wooden windows only requires minimal, regular measures:
